Upload Blu-rays to Dropbox for viewing and streaming freely

Summary: This article introduces an easy way to share and upload Blu-ray movies to Dropbox for viewing anywhere on any device by ripping Blu-ray to Dropbox-friendly formats.

Dropbox is a favorite in the cloud storage world because it's reliable, easy to use, and a breeze to set up. Your files live in the cloud and you can get to them at any time from Dropbox's website, desktop applications for Mac, Windows and Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora or compile your own), or the iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Kindle Fire mobile apps. If you want to take along bundles of Blu-rays when going out, it's great to take advantage of the Dropbox.

However, the biggest problem here is that Dropbox does not support Blu-ray disc format, in addition, commercial Blu-ray movies usually have copy protection which prevents users to perform a copy of backup of the original disc. So before uploading Blu-ray movies into Dropbox and then streaming them to Android, iPad, iPhone or other portable devices for playback, you'd better rip Blu-ray to a widely supported video format e.g.MP4.

To finish the task, Brorsoft Blu-ray Ripper is highly recommended. This Blu-ray ripping tool can rip any encrypted Blu-ray and convert Blu-ray to MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, etc popular formats. For the video size limit of Dropbox site, the built-in editor also allows you to extract Blu-ray clips with the very part you want. Or, you can just choose to rip certain chapters of a Blu-ray as you like. If you are a Mac user, you can turn to Brorsoft Blu-ray Ripper for Mac (El Capitan/Mavericks included), which has the same function as the Windows version. Now download the right version of the program and follow the guide below.
